Sentral Expands to Fort Lauderdale, Adds San Diego Property
Residential-hospitality operator Sentral enters Fort Lauderdale and grows its San Diego footprint, bringing its total market presence to 22 cities.
Sentral, a Denver-based full-building residential-hospitality operator, announced Thursday it has added two new communities to its portfolio, extending its national reach to 22 markets. The expansion includes a new property in Fort Lauderdale and a second location in San Diego, underscoring the company's strategy of targeting high-demand urban and coastal markets.
The San Diego addition, called Diega, is located at 702 Broadway in the heart of downtown. The property reflects Sentral's broader model of blending traditional residential living with hospitality-style amenities and services — a concept that has gained traction as renters increasingly seek flexible, service-oriented living options.

The Fort Lauderdale entry marks the company's first foothold in South Florida, one of the most competitive residential real estate markets in the country. The move signals growing operator confidence in the region's long-term rental demand, which has remained elevated following years of migration into the Sun Belt corridor.
Sentral's dual-market announcement highlights a wider industry trend in which operators are scaling amenity-rich rental platforms across major metros, competing simultaneously with conventional multifamily landlords and extended-stay hospitality brands. Reaching 22 markets positions Sentral among the more geographically diversified players in the residential-hospitality segment.
